I’m a photographer who captures love and moments in real time, driven by emotion and connection. After years of trying to be the photographer who posed every second and made sure everything went according to plan, I realized that wasn’t really my style. What I’ve found is my passion for storytelling photography—capturing your story in a way that’s true to you and your memories, exactly as they are.
I’m not here to control the moment. I’m here to observe, listen, and capture the small and big moments—laughter, tears, secrets, speeches—all of it. I want you to feel comfortable, safe, and fully present as I do this. Sure, I might pose you for a moment here and there, but for the most part, I let the day unfold naturally. My goal is for you to experience the moment as it happens.

We absolutely loved working with Kota!! Her flexibility tolerated the torrential rain we had the day of our wedding, and with her being a great person to work with, the day went seamlessly. With kids and a jam packed life, it had been difficult to find time for just my husband and I. Our elopement was so exciting and just about us. She captured some of our favorite pictures of us ever, even the ones I didn't even realize were happening. Being 3 months postpartum, I didn't feel my most confident, but seeing our pictures and just the excitement of the day, I felt so so beautiful. We had to take a pitstop to the car so I could feed my newborn. Kota wasted no time and even documented the in-between moments, capturing a picture of me breastfeeding in my wedding dress and sneakers in the front seat of our car. As simple as it is, it is honestly one of my favorites and something I wish I would have had with my first. We would absolutely love to work with her again and cannot recommend her enough!

Kota had so many good ideas on how to pose to help it look fun and natural. She made us giggle and play and you can see the joy in the results. FAQ
All photos are delivered in full resolution via online gallery to your email. Your gallery can then be downloaded to your devices, and shared with whoever you'd like! I highly recommend making sure these are backed up onto multiple devices or hard drives, as your galleries are only available for a limited time. Your photos come with printing rights, use them!!!
HOW WILL MY PHOTOS BE DELIVERED?
The images in your gallery will be edited to improve lighting, contrast, sharpness, and color — all of which is a standard process for digital photographers. Photographers put hours and hours into learning to process their work in their own style. If we gave out RAW files and someone else edited them, it wouldn’t be our work anymore. Therefore, I do not provide the unedited RAW images.
DO YOU PROVIDE THE UNEDITED IMAGES?
Most of my clients hate having their photos done and honestly, so do I! It’s awkward and uncomfortable, wondering what to do with your hands, giving a fake smile for formals! That’s why I make it fun, easy, fast, and why I shoot every moment, because there is beauty in the little details! Candid shots are the best anyway! I promise, I won't make it feel like your 5th grade school picture day.
I HATE GETTING PHOTOS DONE, BUT WANT MOMENTS CAPTURED! ANY TIPS?
Nope. I’m not an expert in Photoshop and frankly, I don’t believe in editing people to make them look different. Of course I’ll edit any zits or bruises out, I will soften skin, I will fix flyaways or remove anything I didn't catch at the session (hair ties, apple watches, temporary items) but I would never alter your appearance. Because you’re beautifffuuulll, you’re beautiful IT’S TRUEEEE.
CAN YOU PHOTOSHOP ME TO LOOK _____?
YES. Because you don't want a stranger following you around on your wedding day and I don't want to photograph a stranger's wedding! It’s important to know what to expect from your photographer and be able to relax in front of their camera BEFORE the wedding. An engagement session is the best way to make sure you’re comfortable and that your photographer isn't a total weirdo (or you realize they are, but you love it anyway).
IS ENGAGEMENT SESSION INCLUDED IN THE WEDDING PACKAGE?
Do photographers out there really turn down travel opportunities?! Heck yes I travel, I do have to charge $1.50/mile in excess of 50 miles from Lewisburg though. For my Los Angeles and San Diego clients, I will let you know when I’m planning on coming to town so you don’t have to pay flight travel fees, BUT I still have to charge for anything more than 50 miles from Woodland Hills!!
DO YOU TRAVEL? IF SO, HOW MUCH DO YOU CHARGE?
I keep it simple, all I need from you in order to book your date is a signed contract and a flat retainer ($750 for weddings, $100 for couples, family, and lifestyle). You pay and sign the contract online and BOOM - done!
